263 hardcore takfiri terrorists killed in Khyber’s Tirah: ISPR

SHAFAQNA – At least 263 hardcore takfiri terrorists have so far been killed in the ongoing operation in Khyber Agency’s Tirah valley, as part of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb, the ISPR said.According to DG ISPR Major General Asim Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited frontline troops in Khyber Agency on Wednesday to review the progress so far in eliminating the terrorists.He said strongholds of terrorists were considerably reduced and the fight was now taking place in last few areas close to the Afghan border.

“The noose has been tightened and there is no escape for the terrorists,” he tweeted.Bajwa said the area was infested with foreign-made IEDs, and over 392 such explosive devices were neutralised by Special Engineers Unit.Thirty five Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom since the start of Khyber Operation II, added the DG.The army chief paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the soldiers, and appreciated their successes.He directed the armed forces to continue with their work till terrorism is completely eliminated and ultimate peace is achieved in the country.General Raheel said the nation stands with the security forces, appreciating tribal brethren for their support in evicting terrorists from their areas.
