A selfish behaviour

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was in a gathering when a poor person (obvious from his clothes) entered and by accident sat next to a rich man. The rich man gathered his clothes and pulled himself away from the poor person. The Prophet (PBUH) who saw the situation asked the rich man: Were you frightened in case some of his poverty touch you?
Rich man replied: No, the Prophet of God. The Prophet asked: Did you worry that your clothes get dirty? Rich man replied: No, the Prophet of God. the Prophet (PBUH) asked: Were you frightened in case some of your wealth be transferred to him? Rich man again replied: No, the Prophet of God. The Prophet asked: So, why did you move away from him?
Rich man who was embarrassed said: I confess that I made a mistake and to compensate for my sin, I am ready to give him half of my wealth. The poor man said: But I do not accept. The crowd asked: Why? Poor man said: I am worried in case one day selfishness make me to behave the same way as this man did to me today towards one of my Muslim brothers [1].
