SHAFAQNA – A Quranic Encyclopedia of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) compiled in 60 volumes was unveiled by the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine in Karbala, Iraq.

Seyyed Morteza Jamaluddin, head of the Research Center of the Astan, said it was one of the most important projects undertaken by the Dar-ol-Quran center in the past five years.

The encyclopedia includes three collections featuring Quranic issues, Islamic beliefs and jurisprudence.

It compilation has been supervised by a committee of Najaf Islamic Seminary experts, a scientific panel of university professors as well as a technical committee.

Jamaluddin added that the Dar-ol-Quran center also plans to do research studies on Quranic issues and the works written about Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), reprint Quranic books, and provide educational Quranic textbooks.

Also speaking in the program, Dr Zargham Kareem, a member of the scientific committee of the Dar-ol-Quran center, said that the encyclopedia is a thematic list of Quranic verses and interpretations of Quranic issues by the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), which can benefit researchers in Quranic and Islamic fields.
