SHAFAQNA – Al-Kafeel “Dynamic” Centre for physiotherapy and medical equipment of the Al-Abbas’s (p) holy shrine, has held its first scientific conference of medical rehabilitation on the Monday 2nd Jumadha II 1436 AH corresponding to the 23rd March 2015 in the conference hall of Imam Al-Hassan (peace be upon him), with the participation of a group of specialists doctors in rehabilitation and physical therapy, as well as the manager of the “Dynamic” Centre branch in the UAE and a group of invitees.
Dr.Osama Abd Al-Hussayn, the Director of Al-Kafeel “dynamic” Centre has explained to the Al-Kafeel Network: “The conference is in form of a training and workshops for the benefit of the workers in this field from most of Iraq’s provinces, including hands-on training to deal with all medical conditions. It was held in cooperation and coordination with the International Medical Imami Organization (IMI), which is an organization concerned with medical affairs and represented in the United Nations, aiming to make the interaction between the scientists especially in the field of medicine through conferences, seminars and workshops held in various countries around the world. 57 doctors are participating in this training course as lecturers and supervisors of the training.”
He added: “Through this conference there will be trainings, theoretical and practical lectures, some of which are broadcasted via internet, as well as workshops, and it will last for four days, in which the latest scientific achievements in this area will be discussed. The lecturers came from different countries such as US, Canada and UK. And in fact, this is one of the objectives of the establishment of the Al-Kafeel Centre, which aims not only to provide treatments but also to exchange of expertise and get briefed about the latest achievements in this field. We ask the Almighty God that this conference will be the best in kind in terms of developing the medical services.”
Dr. Huma Hussayn from Albert Einstein University in US has stated: “I came for participating in this conference that is held for the first time in Iraq, as its first objectives is to teach the medical rehabilitation cadres the modern methods and the how of the rehabilitation. My turn is to held workshops for the medical staff to develop their skills and knowledge in this field. This session will be in three phases; the first one is online lectures, the second one is workshops, and the third is a complementary phase. We have performed last year a questionnaire through which we felt the urgent need for physiotherapy and rehabilitation in Iraq. That is why we will work together in focused manner, which needs a continued and serious work.”
