Al Khoei Conference on Human Dignity: Dialogue and Coexistence kicks off in London

SHAFAQNA – This Saturday in London Al Khoei Foundation kicked off its conference on Human Dignity: Dialogue and Peaceful Coexistence to mark its silver jubilee.

Several important religious and political personalities are in attendance: Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Archibishop of Westminster, Ali Al Hashimi, Advisor to the President on Judiciary and Religious Affairs for the UAE, Gamal Suleiman, scholar of Al Azhar Al Sharif and former chief Imam of London Central Mosque, Mohammad Al Sammak, secretary general for the Christian-Muslim committee for dialogue in Lebanon, Baroness Emma Nicholson, prominent poet, Jabel Al Jabiri and of course Abdul Saheb Al Khoei, the secretary general of Al Khoei Foundation.

The opening of the ceremony was marked by a recitation of the Quran and a letter by Grand Ayatollah Al Fayyadh delivered by Mahmood Al Fayyadh, the head of office of the Grand Ayatollah.
Following will be a series of lectures delivered by several key speakers on interfaith coexistence: reality and ambitions and Islam and the West.
