SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – A new report by Amnesty International was published on Wednesday (04 Feb.) entitled ‘Hardship, Hope and Resettlement: Refugees from Syria tell their stories’. The report highlights the low numbers of resettlement places currently offered to Syrian refugees by wealthy nations such as Britain.
Germany accepted 30,000 refugees, other European states have failed to do so, Amnesty warns. Britain has offered only 90 places, while Denmark and Spain have offered 140 and 130 respectively.
