“An act of sheer brutality”: Al- Khoei Foundation on Normandy Church

Shafaqna (International Shia News Agency) – Al-Khoei Foundation, a mainstream Shia organisation based in London issued a statement following Normandy Church attack and said ” The attack on a Church in Normandy, is an act of sheer brutality, bigotry and sacrilege. It violates the protection of life and places of worship, which is enshrined in the holy books of all faiths..”

According to Shafaqna, the statesmen reads: Al-Khoei Foundation deplores the attack on prayers in a Church in France and the slaying of Father Jacques Hamel.

The attack on a Church in Normandy, terrorising the congregation and slaying of Father Jacques Hamel, who was conducting a service is an act of sheer brutality, bigotry and sacrilege. It violates the protection of life and places of worship, which is enshrined in the holy books of all faiths.
The Al-Khoei Foundation is deeply outraged by such acts, which aims to destroy and tarnish community cohesion and interfaith relations that many of us are actively engaged in. No comforting words will suffice to ease the pain of the Christian community, particularly the members of the congregation and the family and friends of Father Jacques. We share your pain and assure you that we will never allow these bigoted extremists to divide us and we will continue to work hand in hand for the betterment of society.
