Another Shia police officer shot and martyred by Sipah-e-Sahaba

SHAFAQNA – Another Shia police officer was shot and martyred by takfiri terrorists of Sipah-e-Sahaba/Taliban near Airport SIgnal in Karachi on Saturday. According to our correspondent, Shia ASI Azhar Jaffery was shot and martyred near Madam Apartment on Shahrah-e-Faisal, within the remit of Airport police station, when takfiri terrorists arrived and shot at him. Airport SHO Sarfaraz said the deceased was critical injured and was taken to a police station. He said the ASI had been posted at Malir City police station.

Hospital sources confirmed that the policeman passed away upon his arrival.

In another accident a Sunni Head Constable Ghulam Rasool, aged 59, was shot and martyred in Surjani Town’s Sector 36-B late Saturday night.

According to Surjani Town SHO Naveed Nasir, the deceased had been sitting outside his house when four terrorists of Sipah-e-Sahaba/Taliban on motorcycles arrived and opened indiscriminate fire before fleeing. He was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

SHO Nasir said the late head constable was posted at Headquarters West in Khwaja Ajmer Nagri.

He said the deceased received two bullet wounds in the head by 9mm pistols which were used in the attack. Spent casings were seized and forwarded for analysis while further investigation was under way.

Two days ago, the Shia SHO of Preedy police station, Inspector Ejaz Khawaja, was shot martyred on Korangi Road while driving to work from him home in Defence Phase II extension.

So far this year, 43 policemen have been martyred in various targeted attacks by terrorists of SIpah-e-Sahaba/Taliban across the city.
