Ayatollah Javadi Amoli: UN laws have no academic basis

SHAFAQNA- Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli reacted to the (P)GCC’s branding of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance group, Hezbollah, as a terrorist organization and stated that UN rights do not have any academic basis.

Speaking during his Quranic Exegesis course, Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli said that every country has a series of legal material that is functional and operational and added that this is common among both unbelievers and believers who take these laws as a series of bases.

His Eminence added that the key to all principles is justice and that is common among all nations and that international law also accepts this.

The revered scholar explained that the laws of the United Nations are cited without academic backing, saying that UN laws do not have any academic basis because nations which defend themselves are condemned for supporting terrorism.

Reacting to the (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council’s recent branding of the Lebanese Islamic Resistance group, Hezbollah, as a terrorist organization, the renowned Quranic exegist stressed that Hezbollah defends its own country and religion, adding: “They call Hezbollah a terrorist organization but the hypocrites and ISIL are exceptions to this. They are truly pharaohs and they see themselves as gods.”

Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli said that the pharaonic mood and character exists during our time as well and added what should determine things instead of individuals and objects? He who says that man must determine the place of the people and things has taken the role of God. Reason says that we must see what He who created reason says. Before and after this, mankind cannot understand this concept.

“He who says that that he must determine who is a terrorist and who are defenders, have taken the place of God,” he said.
