BFHR records seven enforced disappearances across Bahrain

SHAFAQNA – The Bahrain Forum for Human Rights (BFHR) documented the forcible disappearance of seven Bahrainis in recent weeks, including two minors.

According to the group, the minors have been identified as Sadiq Jaafar al-Sammak from A’ali and Mohsen Abdullah al-A’ali from Buri.

The two have been detained incommunicado since October 5 and November 8 respectively.

The BFHR maintains that Manama’s security forces have been employing the practice of enforced disappearances, which constitutes a serious violation of international law, as a means to muzzle freedom of expression and assembly in the Persian Gulf kingdom.
