SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered a question about buying fish from a Muslim fisherman who does not observe religious matters.

Question: Is it allowed to buy fish to eat from a Muslim fisherman who does not observe religious matters?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: It is allowed; unless you know that the fish was dead when it has been taken out of the water, and/or you know that it (the fish) has no scales.
