Can a clergyman use Imam’s share (Sahme Imam) in election campaign? The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz’s Fatwa

SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz answered a question about using Imam’s share in election by clergymen.

Question: Can a clergyman who is poor himself, and his aim is to serve people and religious issues to stand as a candidate for political posts, and use from Imam’s share (Sahme Imam) in political matters such as election campaign?

The Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz: Using Imam’s share (Sahme Imam) in the case of the above question is not allowed.
