Coalition to combat IS meet in London

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association) – According to British media, Foreign ministers from 22 countries gathered in London on Thursday (22 Jan.) to find ways to combat the so called Islamic State (IS or Da’esh). Currently IS controls parts of Syria and Iraq and the US-led coalition has been carrying out some air strikes since August.

British Foreign Secretary told the BBC that the countries wanted to find ways to halt the flow of recruits to IS, cut off its funding and “tackle the underlying narrative”.
