Consequence of arrogance

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated that the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was passing by a group of people, and asked them why have you gathered here? They replied: This person is mad. The prophet (PBUH) said: He is not mad but he is ill. The mad person is the one who at the time of walking, wants to show off and is arrogant, looks at right and left, and moves his/her shoulders; this person wants paradise from God, but commits sins. This is the type of person whom other people are not safe from his /her mischief or they are not hopeful of any good deed from [1]. It is narrated that two persons were bragging to each other in the presence of Prophet Moses (AS). One said: I am the son of such person, the grandson of such person, and counted back nine of his predecessors. God revealed to Prophet Moses (AS) to tell him: Those nine are residents of hell and you are the tenth person of them [2].
