SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered a question about consuming the products of the followers of the truth sect.
Question: The residents of a village that I teach in there do not perform salaat because they are followers of the truth sect (Ahle Haq) and we are forced to eat their food and bread. Because we are resident in that village day and night, is there any problem with our Salaats?
The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: If they do not deny God and the prophethood and any of the essentials of the religion of Islam and do not believe that there is a deficiency in the prophethood of the Prophet of Islam (PBUH); it cannot be ruled that they are Kafir or Najis. Otherwise, must observe the rules of cleanliness (Taharat/Najasat) regarding touching them or eating their food.
