SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Every day the grave proclaims five times a day: I am the house of loneliness, so bring a companion and confidante to me. I am the house of darkness, so bring light with you. I am the house made of soil, so bring carpet with you. I am the house of poverty and indigence, so bring assets and wealth with you. I am the house of snakes, so carry anti-venom with you. But, the confidant is recitation of the Quran. But, the light for the grave is the night Salaat (the 11 Rok’ats of recommended Salaat after midnight). But, the carpet is the good deeds, and the wealth for the grave is the words of uniqueness of God, by saying “La Elaha Elallah (there is no God but Allah (SWT)”, and its anti-venom is paying to charity (Sadaqah) [1].
