Why all deeds must be assessed according to the holy Quran?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Baqir (AS) who said: If you are oppressed, do not oppress anyone. If you are betrayed, do not betray anyone. If you are contradicted / denied, do not get angry; and if you are praised, do not be happy. If you are blamed or criticized, do not get upset, and think instead; if you think what they say about you is true, know that falling out of favour with God is a more serious calamity than falling out of favour with people. But if what they say about you is incorrect, this in itself is a reward which you have attained without doing anything. If all of your fellow citizens say in one voice that you are a bad person, you should not get upset, and if they all say you are good, this should not make you happy; rather, you have to assess yourself with the Quran. If you see you are following the path of the Quran, and you practice the Quran; then be firm and happy, because what is said about you, will not harm you. But if you see yourself separated from the Quran; then why do you want to deceive yourself [1]?
