Did The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) see hell during Meraj (ascension)?

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from Imam Baqir (AS) who said: In his journey of Meraj, the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) did not pass a creature from the created ones unless he saw likeable cases from them, such as goodwill, kindness, and joy, until he passed a creature from the created ones who did not pay attention to him and said nothing, and the Prophet (PBUH) found him grim faced. Then, the Prophet (PBUH) asked Gabriel (AS): O’ Gabriel, I did not pass a creature except seeing goodwill, kindness and joy from them, who is this person? Gabriel (AS) replied: This is the guardian angel of hell that God created him this way. The Prophet (PBUH) said: I would like you to ask him to show me the fire (hell). Gabriel (AS) said: This is Mohammad (PBUH), the Prophet of Allah (SWT) and he wanted me to ask you to show him the fire. Then, the angel of fire pulled out a circle of fire (ordered the fire to come out to be seen). Then the Prophet (PBUH) saw the fire and since then did not laugh until Allah (SWT) took back his soul (the time of his passing away) [1].
