Difference between a believer and a hypocrite

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: One of the clearest signs of difference between a believer and a hypocrite on the exterior which a person can identify is that the believer speaks less and carry out a lot of good deeds. But on the opposite side, a hypocrite speaks very well whilst his deeds are not compatible with his words.

Meaning, on a quantitative base, a believer’s deeds are much more than his/her spoken words. The hypocrite is the opposite, constantly talking about God, the Last day and the Day of Resurrection but there is no sign of God in his actions. In the above narration, The Prophet (PBUH) referred to religious knowledge or decrees and similar examples [1].
