Distinctive characteristics of the holy Quran and the duties of the believers towards the holy Quran

SHAFAQNA – Imam Ali (AS) said: The Quran is a preventive commander, and a silent speaker, and the proof of Allah (SWT) on God’s creatures. There is a treaty between God and God’s servants (the believers) that they act according to the Quran, and they are obliged to obey the commands of the Quran. God has completed the illuminating feature of the Quran, and by doing so completed the religion [1].

Imam Ali (AS) also said: Beware; truly this Quran is a counsel that does not deceive, and is a guide who does not mislead, and a speaker who never lies [2]. It is narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) who said: It is your duty to recite and refer to the Quran. Then, if you find a verse (an Ayah) which others before you by acting on it have been saved, you also act upon it so that you can be saved. And if you notice an Ayah which indicates the destruction of the predecessors, you also avoid those things related to their destruction [3].
