SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered a question about any found item.
Question: Two years ago, I found a watch in one of the leisure areas outside the town, and so far I have kept it. Can I sell it to my brother and pay the money into charity?
The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: You must report/announce (in public) about the found item for one year, and then you can proceed; unless before the end of this period, there is no hope of finding the owner.
