French Muslims 4 times less likely to get job interviews than Catholics: Study report

SHAFAQNA – Muslims in France are likely to get job interviews four times less than a Catholic counterpart. This was revealed in a study report published yesterday.

This research study was conducted by Montaigne Institute Think Tank which elicited responses by sending dummy responses to job adverts.

The results of the study depicted that Muslims had a 4.7% of getting call letters when compared to 17.9% Catholics.

Ms. Marie-Anne Valfort, lecturer at Sorbonne University, Paris elicited responses from 6231 respondents to job adverts during the period 2013 – 2014.

Her respondents were Lebanese, born in Beirut in 1988 which carried the last name Haddad.

These results revealed discrimination against Muslims in France.
