SHAFAQNA-
His Eminence Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Muhammad Nahavandi, son of late Shikh Hussein Nahavandi and a renowned scholar in Mashhad, was born in Nahavand in 1278 A.H. After completing the preliminary studies in Brujerd, he went to Tehran to participate in the seminary classes of Haj Mirza Hasan Ashtiani. Then he traveled to Najaf to benefit the lessons of Haj Mirza Habib-Allah Rashti and Shariat Isfahani. There, he succedded to recive some licences. He returned to Mashhad in 1228 A.H. and was involved in teahing and compiling books. Some of his books are: “Khazinat-al-Jawahir”, “Jannatan-i- Mudhamatan”, “Bunyan-i-Rafi’ Fi-al-Ahwal-i-Khwaja Rabi’”, Al-Jannat-al-Alyah”, Rushhat-al-Nada”, “Jawahir-al-Kalam”, and“Anwar-al-Mawahib”.
Finally, His Eminence Ayatollah Nahawandi passed away in 1369 A.H. at the age of 91 in Mashhad and was buried in the Dar-al-Saadah portio in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (A.S.).
