Hamas condemns Netanyahu’s statements equating Hamas with ISIS

SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association)-Hamas strongly condemned on Thursday Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements equating the Movement with ISIS, saying that such claims are not convincing the West.

Spokesman for the Movement Sami Abu Zuhri called on the international community to bear its responsibility towards Israel’s unprecedented terrorism against the Palestinians.

He described the evacuation of Israeli settlements around the Gaza Strip on Jewish New Year as a new resistance victory.

Gaza victory has long-term effects, he added.

In another context, Abu Zuhri called on the Palestinian unity government to assume its responsibilities towards the catastrophic health situation in Gaza Strip due to the continued hospital cleaners’ strike for not receiving salaries for five months.

The spokesman warned of the strike’s potentially negative effects on patients in Gaza’s hospitals.

For his part, spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf Qudra said that Shifa medical complex is witnessing a health crisis especially Thalassemia and blood diseases departments due to the continued strike of the cleaners.

Hospital cleaners across the Gaza Strip went on strike for the second day in a row demanding their salaries from the Palestinian Health Ministry for the last five months.

The cleaners threatened to step up their three-day strike in case the Palestinian unity government continued to ignore their dire humanitarian and economic situation.

Despite the fact that the health ministry in Gaza warned of a looming disaster in the health sector due to the continued strike, the Palestinian health minister, based in Ramallah, did not take any action in this regard.
