SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi Zanjani answered a question about reciting “Besmillah; in the name of Allah (SWT)” for slaughter of animals.
Question: Is it enough to recite once “in the name of Allah (SWT)” for the slaughter of a number of animals (for example slaughter by machine), or “in the name of Allah (SWT)” must be recited once for each animal?
The Grand Ayatollah Shobairi: The number which is observed customarily between slaughters and reciting; (therefore) reciting once is enough.
