SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli answered questions about demolishing others properties to save someone’s life.

Question: If saving the life of a human being depends on demolishing others properties, who is liable for the properties? If the relief worker is liable, it is possible in most cases he may avoid helping the injured, what is the duty (in these cases)?

The Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli: If saving the life of the one who gets into difficulty due to his own deliberate criminal act, and the relief work depends on the loss of others properties, the trapped person is liable. And if it is caused by natural accidents, or it is unintentional, the Islamic government is liable.
