‘Imam Hussein (AS)’ Encyclopedia to Be Compiled in Iraq

SHAFAQNA- The “Warith-ol-Anbiya” Institute for specialized studies on Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising plans to compile a comprehensive encyclopedia featuring the life and character of the third infallible Imam (AS).

According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine, the encyclopedia will be a collection of the works written in the past 1200 years about the Imam (AS) and the Karbala uprising.

Sa’d Al-Bakhati, director of the institute’s Written Works and Research Section, said that the institute has so far investigated 122 sources about the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).

The encyclopedia will also cover information and documents about various important incidents that have happened at the holy shrine, the pilgrimage of eminent Iraqi and international figures to the holy shrine, the attacks on the holy shrine and the reconstruction projects conducted in the holy shrine.
