SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association)-The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) decided Thursday to impose a total closure and a comprehensive siege on the West Bank starting from Thursday night till next Sunday under the pretext of Jewish holidays.
In a statement issued on Thursday morning, Israeli military authorities decided to tighten its military restrictions in the West Bank for four days starting Thursday night in coincidence with Yom Kippur Jewish holiday.
West Bankers are not allowed to have access into Palestine 48 except for humanitarian cases, the statement added.
Large numbers of Israeli soldiers are expected to be deployed throughout Israeli settlements and Arab towns inside the Green Line for fear of the outbreak of clashes during Eid al-Adha that coincides with Yom Kippur.
Israeli police forces are also expected to intensify their presence in occupied Jerusalem on Friday morning to provide military protection for settlers’ access to al-Aqsa Mosque.
