SHAFAQNA – Third round of political and technical talks between Iran and US wound up on Monday evening. Head of Iran Nuclear Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi and Head US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz attended the meeting.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his US Secretary of State John Kerry took the helm of the negotiations.
In the meantime, Salehi and Moniz discussed technical issues in parallel with negotiations between Zarif and Kerry in Geneva opened at 14 p.m. local time.Western analysts believe that presence of Salehi and US energy secretary has bolstered technical aspects of talks which indicate change in approach of nuclear talks.
Iranian foreign ministry deputies Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi, as well as US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and EU deputy foreign policy chief Helga Schmid held another meeting at deputy foreign ministers level.
