Iranian foreign minister: Some countries’ viewpoints on terrorism should be changed

SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- Iranian foreign minister here Friday said that if some countries’ viewpoints on terrorism and extremism phenomena would change then we could hope for uprooting those malicious trends in the world.

Mohammad Javad Zarif made the comment speaking with the IRNA and the IRIB’S Central News Unit (CNU) on Friday night after the end of the Beijing Foreign Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul Process on Afghanistan.

He said that the sphere of extremism is expanding in the world and to rid the world nations of the resulting perils, some countries need to change their viewpoints on that problem.

Zarif added that this problem is not exclusively related to one region in the world and in order to encounter it effectively the collective will of all world nations is a dire need.

“Fortunately, today every country around the globe has realized the fact that serious encountering with this threat is needed and one of the positive results of today’s meeting in Beijing was creating a solid stand among the participating countries on this matter,” he said.
