SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to visit the Republic of Azerbaijan next week, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi said on Wednesday.
Talking to IRNA on Wednesday, he said the visit is expected to result in signing of 10 documents between the two countries in various areas.
As the head of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Cooperation Commission, the minister noted that such topics as transfer or purchase of electricity from Azerbaijan, methods of making use of the water of borderline rivers, regulating customs relations, transportation, energy and tourism will be discussed with the Azerbaijani officials during the visit.
Vaezi said the volume of annual trade between the two neighboring states presently stood at dlrs 100 million while the figure could easily grow.
He further said that a very good atmosphere has been prevailing the mutual relations since the visit of the President Iham Aliyev to Tehran on April 9, 2014 at the official invitation of his Iranian counterpart.
