SHAFAQNA (Shia International News Association)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and visiting Venezuelan Foreign Minister Rafael Ramirez on Saturday held talks on ways to further expand bilateral relations.
President Rouhani referred to mutual viewpoints shared by Iran and Venezuela on global issues and said friendship between the two nations will continue forever.
“Although far apart geographically, we are close together from an intellectual standpoint and are seen as two important and revolutionary countries in two critical spots of the world,” the president said.
President Rouhani underlined the need for consultations on global economic issues, particularly on fluctuations of global oil market, saying, the sharp fall of the oil prices will leave impact on the world economy.
Rouhani, therefore, argued that efforts have to be made to balance the global price of oil.
Elsewhere in his remarks, President Rouhani called for immediate completion of the projects under construction between the two countries.
The Venezuelan foreign minister, for his part, conveyed warmed greetings of the Venezuelan president to President Rouhani.
Ramirez said that the Venezuelan government is determined to broaden ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran and stands by the Iranian nation in all international areas.
