SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered questions regarding the duty of doctor or nurse who is witnessing a patient is dying.
Question: Is it Wajib for doctor or nurse who is witnessing the patient dying to turn the patient towards Qiblah? Is it necessary to ask permission from the patient’s guardian?
The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: According to precaution, it is Wajib (to do so); and knowing that the guardian gives permission, asking permission is not necessary.
