Mainstream media demonise Muslims and Islam on a daily basis, with some studies claiming that an average of around eight headlines per day per newspaper vilify Muslims in one way or another. A Channel 4 Survey in 2013 confirmed that seven out of ten newspaper reports about Muslims portrayed them as either dangerous or threatening. That figure has likely increased after several alleged false flag terror attacks by so called Islamist terrorists linked to Takfirism. Perhaps it is no surprise then that YouGov surveys also show that seven out of ten non Muslims regard Islam and its adherents as a threat and danger too.
Clive Menzies a co creative learning advocate for the ‘Critical Thinking’ movement says, “Muslim organisations are challenging individual instances of false or fabricated reporting; others are attempting to promote the positive aspects of Islam which reflect the behaviour and attitudes of the vast majority of Muslims who want what the rest of us want – to live in freedom and peace.
Successful resolution of specific abuses takes time, energy and resources and can never hope to hold back the tide of media bias. The way media is framed dictates perceptions and ensures anti-Muslim bias persists. In the period prior to 7/7, the BBC series Spooks contained elements of the narrative of that fateful day – Muslim suicide bombers with rucksacks.” Tom Secker describes it as predictive programming.
Clive argues that “Muslim organisations are being called upon to address “extremism” and “radicalisation” within their communities; many respond, leaping into the trap set for them. ‘ ‘Prevent’and other British government initiatives divide communities and reinforce the notion that terrorism is a Muslim problem, whereas there is overwhelming evidence that the intelligence services fabricate and orchestrate false flag terrorist attacks; the State all too often is the terror.” Tom Secker has done extensive research and analysis and concludes that intelligence services’ fingerprints are all over 7/7 and many other false flag terrorist attacks.
The best form of defence is attack (Islam and Muslims are under constant attack). Move off the back foot and seek resolution on your terms.Rather than play the establishment on its terms, Muslims (and all of us concerned with ending the abuse, oppression and destruction in the world) need to speak truth to power but more importantly, to each other. The media have all the firepower but their lies upon lies are beginning to unravel. Truth is infinitely powerful; when humanity engages with truth, transformation will follow.
So what is the truth of the political economy? Everything is connected and the levers of power are controlled by a minority we’ve termed the ‘Structural Elite’. It is not a conspiracy (although there are many conspiracies within the political economy) but the evolution of a confluence of interests coalescing into a sophiaticated hierarchical one world (shadow) government.
The Structural Elite emerged over centuries to cement their grip on the levers of power and so when Murtaza asks who’s driving who? ie. are politicians driving the narrative in media or is political rhetoric being driven by media, the answer is obvious: neither. They are controlled within the Military-Intelligence, Media-Academic Complex (MIMAC) by the super wealthy dominated Structural Elite. Not so difficult to accept when you realize around 65 people own more wealth than half the planets eight billion populace as reported by global NGO Oxfam. Even more plausible when you consider 110 or so Chief Executives of transnational corporations control around seventy percent of global trade.
If the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and his Holy Ahlulbayt (as) were alive today I wonder how they would have viewed the Structural Elite and their injustice? Are they not much like the jahilliyah led by Abu Sufyan; usurious, extortionists determined to implement a wealth inequality to maintain their own hegemony? The pagans among the Quraysh also utilized the media of their day – paying poets and soothsayers to control the narrative. Even as the tiny movement of believers emerged they were driving a 7th Century psyops campaign against the Holy Messenger of God and Muslims. So it is today; and aside from the speed sophistication and scale of the media propoganda agaibst Islam and Muslims thr essential core techniques being employed are the same.
Islam is not the source of terror.
Critical Thinking see this vilification of Islam as yet another political engineering tool for the shadowy powers that be behind the current political economy which they assert “thrives on competition, conflict and division.” They say though that “there is an alternative: we can choose to trust each other and not the Structural Elites government apparatus, their media, their banks, nor any of their other hierarchical organisations.” This is the truth Muslims in the East and West also need to discuss and accept; because most rulers in the Islamic world are puppets of this same Structural Elite too… we can open our eyes and see their reality or we can continue to play their game” and remain their absolute slaves
