ISNA/ Iran wins 5 gold medals in Para Asian Games

SHAFAQNA (International Shia News Association) – Iranian disabled athletes won five gold, eleven silver and three bronze medals in 2014 Para Asian Games.

Vahid Keshtkar in swimming, Sareh Javanmardi in pistol and Erfan Hosseini in javelin throw won gold medals.

Alireza Mokhtari in disc throw and Peiman Nasiri in track and field received gold medals as well.

Iran has won 19 medals in the games so far, standing 4th in the ranking.

Hamid Eslami and Ali Elahi in track and field, Javid Ehsani and Sajjad Nik-Parast in weight throw and Hajar Taktaz in weight throw won silver medals. Mohammad Hossein Karimi Jahanabadi won a silver medal in swimming.

Sadeq Beit-Sayah in disc throw, Hassan Dehghani in weight throw, Azam Khodayari in disc throw, Shahin Izad-Yar in swimming and Mohsen Kaeidi in javelin throw won silver medals.

Younes Seifi-Pour and Fatemeh Montazeri in disc throw and Mohammad Hossein Karimi in swimming won bronze medals.
