SHAFAQNA – The regime forces broke into Sheikh Qassim’s residence in the village of Diraz earlier today. That led to heavy clashes with anti-regime protesters. Police fired tear gas to disperse the protesters who were holding a sit-in outside Sheikh Issa’s house. At least one protester has been injured. All entrances to Diraz have been blocked and security forces deployed to the area. Anti-regime protests have been held in Diraz since Bahrain revoked Sheikh Qassim’s citizenship in June. The cleric is accused of quote using his position to serve foreign interests and promote sectarianism and violence.
