SHAFAQNA – The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei answered questions about Khoms on deposit for rented house.

Question: It is usual to pay a deposit for renting a house, if this money is from the earnings, and remains with the landlord; must the Khoms on it be paid as soon as it is returned? What to do if it is needed to rent another place with the same money?

The Grand Ayatollah Khamenei: Khoms is accrued; but if this money is needed for renting (another place) can ask for extension of time and after the need is removed, then pay it.
