Lady Fatima Zahra (AS) nursing her father

SHAFAQNA – In the third year of Hijrah, the War of Uhud (near Medina, beside the Uhud Mountain)started between the armies of Islam and disbelievers. In this war, 70 Muslims were martyred and many were wounded. One of the wounded was the Prophet of Islam (PBUH), his front teeth were broken and he sustained some head and body injuries.

After the war, when the Prophet (PBUH) returned to Medina, Lady Fatima Zahra (AS) began nursing her father, Imam Ali (AS) brought water for her and she washed the blood from his body but the blood would not stop. At this time Lady Fatima Zahra (AS) burned some straw and placed the ash on the wounds of the Prophet (PBUH) and in this way the blood was stopped [1].
