SHAFAQNA – The 54th Annual Convention of the Islamic Society of North America began on Friday, bringing an estimated 20,000 people to the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.
The convention runs through Monday and is the largest gathering of Muslims in North America.
This year’s theme is “Hope and guidance through the Qu ‘ran.”
The annual convention will showcase how faith can inspire the community to bring positive change in the face of challenges and injustices. It also marks the end of Ramadan.
