The main point of Ayah 32 of Surah Al-Ma’edah according to Imam Sadeq (AS)

SHAFAQNA – It is narrated from the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who said: Allah (SWT) said: O’ My servants, all of you are misguided unless I guide you; all of you are needy unless I make you capable (by giving you wealth and other necessities in life); all of you are sinful unless I save you from the sin [1]. In this regard, Imam Sadeq (AS) recited this part of Ayah 32 of Surah Al-Ma’edah: “If anyone kills a person unless it be for murder or spreading mischief in the land; it would be as if he killed all the human beings; and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he has given life to all the people.” Then, Imam Sadeq (AS) said: This means that whenever a person misguides a human being as if he/she has killed that human being; and if he/she guides that person to the right path, as if he/she has given life to all the people. And it is also narrated that, Imam Sadeq (AS) said: This Tafseer (interpretation) is the superior interpretation of this Ayah [2].
