Maulana Kalbe Jawwad will rally against terrorism on 6 September

Shafaqna India – Prominent Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad announced that a rally will be organized on 6 September at Bada Imambada, Lucknow against the terrorism going on in the world especially in Iraq and Palestine.

In a press conference, He said, “The rally will also show the strength of Shias; though we are a minority we should not be oppressed”.

The rally will be organized by Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, a religious organization headed by Maulana Kalbe Jawwad and includes many other Shia clerics.

Amidst the controversy over Shia Waqf Board and tussle against Waqf Minister Azam Khan, the rally holds importance. Large number of Shia Muslims follows the cleric and administration will be on high alert after the previous incident of lathicharge at the rally in Ramzan month in which one Shia civilian died. Recently, some Azam khan supporters also burned the effigy of Kalbe Jawwad, blaming him for the comments against Khan.

In another incident on Thursday, Nagar Nigam has encroached the land of restaurant owned by an important member of the movement against Azam Khan and family (close) relative of the Cleric, Shamil Shamsi.  Shamsi owns a restaurant named Naushijaan located at Hazratganj locality of Lucknow. Shamsi clearly accused Azam Khan for destroying his property and business.

These incidents have fuelled the tension in the city. Though the rally will be against Israel or ISIS’s terrorism, it is possible that issue of Waqf board and Kalbe Jawwad-Azam Khan battle of words will have effect on the public and any untoward incident may take place.

On the contrary, Cleric assured that this rally will not be against any political party or politician.
