Muslim volunteer group to host second community open day in Nuneaton

SHAFAQNA –  The event will give visitors the chance to learn more about the Islamic faith

A Muslim volunteer group is preparing to host its second community open day and mosque tour.

Muslim Community Relations – Nuneaton (MCR-N) will hold its second ‘Discover Islam’ community open day on Sunday May 10 at the Edward Street Day Centre in Nuneaton .

Everyone is welcome to the event, where visitors can enjoy home-made refreshments, activities for children and the chance to talk to Muslims to learn more about Islam.

Attendees are asked to arrive at the centre by 10.30am and the event is due to finish at about 12.30pm.

There will then be an opportunity for visitors to observe afternoon prayers and take a tour of the nearby Nuneaton Mosque in Frank Street .

Since the first open day, MCR-N has been helping homeless and hungry 
people through the food kitchen initiative, which, thanks to community donations now runs monthly.
