Pak-Iran security meeting held in Tehran today in which senior official of both sides made their appearance and discussed law and order and security situation at border. According to FC spokesman said that IG FC Major General Ejaz Durrani and Irani border police Chief Qasim Razi participated. Meeting discussed the recent border situation and agreed upon curbing border infiltration. IG FC said that there is need of intelligence sharing and coordination between both the countries. He added that intelligence sharing can change the situation and could help to take effective action against terrorists.
This joint meeting was held after Iranian security forces fired several mortar shells inside Pakistan leaving an FC soldier dead while wounding two others.
