Pakistani rally staged against US policies on Kashmir

SHAFAQNA – Large number of people took to streets in the Pakistani capital Sunday afternoon to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and to condemn the US policies on Kashmir and its double standards on terrorism.

The protesters attended the rally in Islamabad were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans to support people of Kashmir.

They also condemned the US decision to declare Kashmiri leaders as terrorists.

The United States has recently put the name of some Kashmiri leaders in the list of global terrorists.

Protestors called for resolving the lingering issue of Kashmir in accordance with the resolutions adopted by the United Nations Security Council.

They called upon the international community to ensure the Kashmiris the right to self-determination.

Also on Saturday, religious and political parties held rallies and demonstrations across Pakistan, voicing support for the struggle of Kashmiri people.

Moreover, the Pakistani people participated in a number of programs held to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
