The holy Quran and narrations have both mentioned the concept of globalization. What is described by the holy Quran about the term globalization is different from its Western and non-Islamic concept. However, if globalization develops in its natural course, it can pave the ground for global government, which has been introduced by Islam. We shall take a look at verses and narrations regarding the issue:
The holy Quran states,” Certainly We wrote in Psalms, after the Torah: ‘Indeed My righteous servants shall inherit the earth.’(1)
Apparently this verse gives glad tidings of a pious government on the earth.
Another verse states,” Allah has promised those of you who have faith and do righteous deeds that He will surely make them successors in the earth, just as He made those who were before them successors, and He will surely establish for them their religion which He has approved for them, and that He will surely change their state to security after their fear,” (2)
“It is He who has sent His apostle with the guidance, and the religion of truth that He may make it prevail over all religions though the polytheists should be averse.”(3)
It is narrated that Imam Ali (a`) asked his companions while reading out this holy verse,” Has the victory been realized?” They gave a positive answer. His highness told them,” No, I adjure you all to One who has sovereignty over my life. This victory will not be realized unless the expression of ‘There is no God but Allah’ is heard day and night in all flourishing lands on the face of earth.”
Imam Baqir (a`) states,” Indeed this victory will be realized on the advent of Imam Mahdi` s uprising. There will be left no one on the earth unless they witness to the prophecy of Mohammad(s).”
