SHAFAQNA – An advanced Quran teachers training course in Senegal wrapped up in the central city of Touba.
According to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the Iranian Cultural Center in the West African country organized the course in cooperation with Senegal’s National Union of Quranic Schools.
Zakilu, an Iranian Quran master and Qari, was the instructor of the course, which featured Tajweed recitation of the Quran.
More than 30 Quran teachers from 14 provinces of Senegal took the three-day course.
The teachings presented by Zakilu were recorded by the country’s national radio and television and will be broadcast later.
At the end of the course, the participants were given a certificate of attendance as well as a copy of the Quran printed in the Islamic Republic of Iran as a gift.
