Question: Can the guardianship of the child be taken away from the father in the case of bodily harm of the child by the father?
The Grand Ayatollah Safi: According to the premise of the question, the guardianship is not taken away; but according to the case, the father must pay Diyeh (compensation for the injury caused, according to Islamic Law).
