Sheikh al-Kerbalai Opens Imam Hassan Visitors Complex

SHAFAQNA – The Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala’i opened the Imam Hassan Visitors Complex, which is located on Najaf-Kerbala road.

A stately ceremony was held where a top delegation, the head of the Muslim Shia Endowment Bureau, ministers, parliaments, politicians, heads of tribes, and the local government of Kerbala city attended.

Sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbala’i delivered a speech in which he highly praised the popular army against the ISIS for the unique sacrifice the have been offering.

He said that the Imam Hassan Visitors Complex is one of several complexes the Imam Hussein Holy shrine built. He also said that the complex and services offered are to suffice 6 million visitors.

The head of the Muslim Shia Endowment Bureau delivered his speech as well as some other parliaments and politicians who highly expressed their admiration in the noteworthy projects achieved by the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.

The complex is located 17 kilometers from the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine; its perimeter is 22 acres. The period of time consumed to be built was three years, and the cost was approximately $35 million.
