Sheikh Isa Qassim’s health deteriorates

SHAFAQNA – Rights activists have taken to social media to express their grave concerns as to Sheikh Isa Qassim’s health, warning that the senior cleric was quickly slipping away due to a lack of adequate medical care.

Hounded by Manama regime for his stand in Bahrain in favour of pro-democratic reforms, religious pluralism, and social justice, Sheikh Isa Qassim  has greatly suffered over the past months.

Under house arrest, the cleric has been denied access to medical care, in clear violations to international law and human rights standards.
