Sierra Leone villages warmly welcome Imam Reza caravan

SHAFAQNA – In continuation of its travel, “Under the Shade of the Sun” Caravan entered in Sierra Leone’s Niyama and Savafi villages.

Around ninety percent of the populations in these two villages are Sunni Muslims. These people warmly welcomed the missionaries of the Imam Reza caravan.

Various programs had been provisioned for the people of the caravan.

These programs include many different ones, from a 13-year-old girl’s Qur’an recitation to holding celebration.

At the end of the ceremony, the assistant of Savafi’s headman demanded Astan Quds Razavi to provide the people of the village with English version of the Holy Qur’an and other Islamic books.

It is worth mentioning that despite of existence of surrounding rich mines, these villages are really deprived. For this reason, some gifts were presented to them by Astan Quds Razavi.
